Learn about illicit drugs and drug interactions, how drugs affect emotional and behavioral functioning and health, substance abuse treatment options, AA/NA support groups and sponsorship, relapse prevention, and developing a relapse prevention plan

 

 

 

Co-occurring group – Thursdays at 10:00

 

Although using drugs and alcohol may seem to help you cope with mental health issues, substances actually only make the symptoms worse!  Learn how to recover from co-occurring disorders in a safe and nurturing environment

Grief group for those coping with loss that encompasses the five stages of grief

 

 

 

Relaxation Group – Thursdays at 12:30

 

Peer ran group that uses numerous modalities to teach effective relaxation techniques to help individuals cope with symptoms of mental illness, triggers for relapse, uncomfortable feelings, etc.

 

 

 

Anger Management – Thursdays at 1:30

 

Learn how to effectively manage anger through indentifying triggers as well as coping skills (certificate of completion can be provided upon request)

 

 

 

Artistic/Creative Expressions – Fridays at 10:00

 

Individuals learn to creatively express themselves through movement while engaging in light exercise to enhance coordination and overall health

Learn basic cooking techniques to provide nutritious yet economical meal, effective socialization techniques, ways to improve physical health, etc.

 

 

 

Triangle Support Group – Fridays at 1:00

 

A safe community for those in the LGBT community struggling with mental health issues that focuses on providing social support and assistance with self acceptance.
